WET ROOM FLOOR

The Aqua-Dec
has been designed to overcome the difficulties faced by the installer that manually
form their own wet room floors.
The idea is to reduce the manual labour,
provide consistent gradients with every installation and achieve a cost effective,
robust and practical preformed wet room base.
The Aqua-Dec is available
in 9 sizes providing a ready made gradient for draining your wet room floor.800x800,
900x900,1000x1000, 1200x1200, 1300x800, 1500x800, 1400x900, 1850x900, 1700x1700,
all sizes in mm.
Each tray is supplied with a high quality, stylish stainless steel gully.
Option
1: Timber floor with tiled surface
The Aqua-Dec being 22mm thick is ideal
for most timber and first floor situations. To fit the dec the floor boards are
removed. When the drainage and the pipe work have been installed the dec can then
be permanently fixed to the joists. The remaining floor must finish level with
the decs edges in preparation for the floor tiles.
Option 2: Concrete floor with tiled surface
On concrete floors the Aqua-Dec
can be let in to the concrete screed and when the pipe work has been completed
it can then be bedded down to sit level with the existing floor. The tiling can
then be installed over the entire bathroom floor.
Waterproofing with Tilesafe
Once the Aqua-dec has been installed
it is essential to lay the Tilesafe membrane over the whole room which is then
ready to be tiled. This Tilesafe membrane kit is available in a 5m2 or 10m2 kit
and will ensure your wetroom is completely waterproof and free from leakage.
Tilesafe
is a cold-applied, self adhesive, waterproof membrane which consists of a thick
rubberised waterproof layer, incorporating a woven glass fibre mesh on one side.
It has been developed for use prior to the application of ceramic tiles which
are applied using a conventional adhesive which keys to mesh. As the adhesive
dries it forms a strong permanent bond through the mesh and directly onto the
waterproofing layer. Tilesafe can be fixed to ply, masonry, concrete or plasterboard
to form a secure internal watertight structure. And because there is no curing
time you can tile the same day.
The kit includes 10m2 or 5m2 of Tilesafe
membrane,Tilesafe primer,Reinforcing tape,Jointing compound, and Putty.
